Pakistan's Airlines: PIA, Airblue, AirSial, Fly Jinnah and Serene Air Codes and Bases
Pakistan has one national airline and several private ones. Each uses a two-character code on tickets and a three-letter callsign in the air. Knowing both makes tracking any domestic or international flight much easier.
At a glance
| Airline | Ticket code | Callsign on trackers | Main base |
|---|---|---|---|
| Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) | PK | PIA | Karachi |
| Airblue | PA | ABQ | Islamabad |
| AirSial | PF | SIF | Sialkot |
| Fly Jinnah | 9P | FJL | Karachi |
| Serene Air | ER | SEP | Islamabad |
So PK301 shows as PIA301, PA200 as ABQ200 and 9P846 as FJL846. fly24 converts these for you: just type the number from your ticket. Read more in flight number vs callsign.
PIA
The national carrier flies domestic routes between Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, Peshawar, Quetta and smaller cities, plus international routes, especially to the Gulf and Saudi Arabia. Its fleet includes Airbus A320s, Boeing 777s and ATR 72 turboprops for short domestic hops.
The private airlines
Airblue, AirSial, Fly Jinnah and Serene Air mostly fly Airbus A320-family jets and connect Pakistan's big cities with each other and with the Gulf and Saudi Arabia. Routes change often, so check each airline's own website for its current network and schedule.
Track any Pakistani flight
- Search the flight number on fly24.
- Or open an airport page: Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, Peshawar, Sialkot, Multan or Quetta.
- The Arrivals tab shows every flight on its way in, with the expected landing time.
Coverage over parts of Pakistan is still growing, so a plane can occasionally drop off the map for a few minutes. Here is why that happens.
