Questions and answers
What is fly24?
fly24 is a free live flight tracker. It shows planes around the world on a map in real time, with each flight’s route, airline, aircraft type, altitude, speed and photo, plus live arrivals and departures for airports.
How is fly24 different from other flight trackers?
fly24 is completely free, with nothing behind a subscription, and needs no app or account: it runs in any phone browser. It is built for travellers in Pakistan and the Gulf, so you can search the flight number from your ticket (like PK301 or 9P846), it combines several flight data networks on one map, and it has live arrival and departure boards for over 1,100 airports.
Is fly24 the same as Flightradar24?
No. fly24 (fly24.io, also written “fly 24” or “فلاي 24”) is an independent free live flight radar and is not connected to Flightradar24 or any other flight tracker. Open fly24.io to see live flights on its own map.
Is fly24 free?
Yes. fly24 is free to use without an account. It is supported by ads.
Where does fly24 get its flight data?
Positions come from ADS-B receivers run by aviation networks (FlyItalyADSB, adsb.lol and Plane Finder). Routes come from adsbdb, aircraft photos from Planespotters.net, and airport data from OurAirports.
How do I track a flight by flight number?
Type the flight number, such as PK301, EK623 or 9P846, into the search box at the top of fly24. You can also search by callsign, aircraft registration (for example AP-BMV) or airport name.
Why can’t I see a flight on the map?
A plane only appears when a receiver can hear its transponder. Some regions have few receivers, very old aircraft may not send positions, and some private or military flights hide their data.
How often are planes updated?
The map refreshes every 8 seconds. In regions covered by Plane Finder, positions between updates are estimated from each plane’s speed and heading.
